Good luck, I really hope you manage to find a fix, especially as you've lost ALL of yours, how frustrating! If I hear anything else from them that may help I'll post back in here. You can always try the email approach, perhaps you'll get better results than me. Now, there's no way I'm giving them my money. I honestly think they're targeting people who didn't buy their games directly from Origin, which is pretty terrible given the age of the game! I was actually about to purchase the new Sims 4 Parenthood pack from them yesterday, before realising that more of my S3 EPs had vanished. They said it would be the best way to get in touch with them, and that they look at emails on a case by case basis, so wouldn't just assume I was disputing a suspension or ban.however, I got a generic reply from them saying that my account was subject to a charge back, which as I mentioned above isn't the case. "I found a way to email but it forced me to choose if I was emailing to dispute a suspension or ban which is not a case for me at all". Eventually they recommended emailing them through the channel you appear to have found: Nothing they suggested could get me in touch with EA/Origin, even though the options for chat/phone call were showing up for them, they just weren't appearing for me. Finally, I found a way to email but it forced me to choose if I was emailing to. I tried all of the troubleshooting in the help.ea.com forums and I attempted to chat with someone (good luck I dont even think the feature works).
#All the sims 3 expansion packs 2012 update#
I can relate! I was struggling to get in touch with them after opening my initial ticket, and I asked the online retailer (where I purchased my EPs) for help. With the most recent Origin update I lost all of my Sims 3 Expansions and Stuff Packs. The Sims is a series of life simulation video games developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. The franchise has sold nearly 200 million copies worldwide, and it is one of the best-selling video game series of all time. Incredibly annoying as I paid a lot of money for ALL of the expansions already!
#All the sims 3 expansion packs 2012 Offline#
I'm planning on installing them without using Origin and keeping my game offline so they can't interfere. Did you purchase yours directly from Origin? Unfortunately, I don't have a solution, but I can tell you you're not alone - there are hundred of furious Sims 3 players right now! I've been out and bought a pre-2012 version of the base game, and a couple of the expansions in disk format on eBay.
One common comment was that their codes were purchased via third party sellers.
HOWEVER, I stupidly allowed Origin to update again yesterday, and now I've lost another three expansions! I've been trawling through the EA forums, and from what I'm seeing this is affecting a lot of people. The following day I received an email saying that the game I'd contacted them about had been subject to a charge back and if this happened again I would lose my account! I've been successfully playing the game for over 2 years, so it certainly wasn't due to a charge back on my end. I was able to rectify this by requesting a callback, and the guy provided me with a new code. Origin updated a couple of weeks ago and I lost my Seasons EP.
